AMH and Fertility, What does it mean?

AMH (anti-müllerian hormone) levels help show how many potential egg cells a woman has left. This is known as the ovarian reserve.

A few things to consider with AMH results…

1. This does not indicate how likely you are to get pregnant, this test does not measure egg QUALITY and women with low AMH can still conceive naturally.

2. All sorts of things impact AMH and tests can vary clinic to clinic. Things like thyroid to Vit D levels to gene mutations.

3. High AMH doesn’t guarantee conception either. Extended cycles, PCOS, amenorrhea can all increase egg quantity but presents other challenges.

Everyone’s fertility journey is different and can feel out of control at times. Find providers that listen, problem solve and cultivate calm.

Sending much much love fertility warriors~ Katie
