Meet Katie

Katie, a Colorado native from Evergreen, brings a touch of her state's friendly personality to her patients. Katie has been practicing for over a decade, a true veteran to this ancient medicine. She discovered acupuncture and holistic medicine as a solution to her lifelong digestive issues but has a deep passion for all things Women’s Health. This sparked her journey to earning her degree in Acupuncture and Herbal medicine from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2012, where she completed a rigorous three-year program including 2,850 hours of education and 1,000 hours of clinical experience. Katie is an NCCAOM-accredited practitioner, recognized by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. When not at work, Katie enjoys quality time with her family and is the quintessential Colorado gal enjoying all things outdoors from skiing to backpacking to fly fishing to frolicking about.

As a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, Katie is driven by the belief that every body deserves dignity and respect. She focuses on addressing the root cause of imbalances and works with her patients to find peace with food, regain trust in their body, and promote systemic health. She also provides guidance on advocating for quality care, particularly in the areas of fertility and women's health. Intuitive Eating is a weight-inclusive and evidence-based approach to food and self-care, integrating instinct, emotion, and reason into one's relationship with food. It is a continual practice that prioritizes both physical and mental well-being, backed by over 100 studies and a validated assessment scale.

Rapid Fire Q&A:

What have been your career highlights (so far)? Hands down every time I help a mom get pregnant and safely into her second trimester. How lucky am I to aid women with the tools to conceive? Nothing brings me so much joy.

What’s your goal in life? To be forever growing as a wife, mom and practitioner. To live a life that warms my heart; to help, to support and to love. I want to travel, experience belly laughs every day, drink wine, backpack and stay true to who I am.

Favorite movie? Juno.

#1 bucket list trip? China (oh and it will happen!).

Favorite thing in the world? My boys (John, Weston, Charlie), my brothers, my sister besties... oh and of course coffee and wine!

Biggest challenge? Balancing being a mom and running my own business.

Katie is a thorough, caring, dynamic, and just an absolute pro when it come to acupuncture. She has helped me with a multitude of issues, including tight IT bands, sleep, stress, digestion, and the normal women specific stuff. I have always been a very western medicine focused individual, but I have found instanst and on-going relief as a result of my sessions with Katie. I would highly recommend her for anything and everything!
